£25m Acquisition of Woodley Hotels by Heeton Holdings

Heeton Holdings and Ryobi Kiso Holdings’ joint venture company Chatteris has bought the entire share capital of Woodley Hotels (Kensington) Limited in a £25m deal.

Following the acquisition Chatteris is looking to expand capacity and add to their existing international hotel portfolio.

Chatteris, advised by Matt Eves, a partner in Isca Ventures, purchased the company in an off-market transaction.

Colin Hall, head of London hotels agency at Colliers International, said: “This was an off-market sale which generated huge interest from a number of international buyers. The sale to Heeton is testament to the strong appetite Singaporean hotel operators have for the London hotel market.”

Danny Low, chief operating officer at Heeton (80% owners of Chatteris) said: “This acquisition will strengthen our hospitality portfolio. The Group believes that the hospitality sector presents the best mid to long-term opportunity for growth as demand for travel accommodation continues to outstrip available accommodation in popular gateway cities throughout the world.”

We had been on the lookout for a while for a suitable London-based hotel businesses for Heeton and this acquisition ticked all the boxes. We have no doubt this acquisition will enhance the prospects of the wider Heeton Hotel group.
